Many students wonder that what they should do upon arrival in China
1. BuyChinamobile card
The time you land on the airport, you should first buy aChinamobile phone card as it will be more convenient for you to contact the school or us.
2. Go to the university
If your university locates in the city you land on, then you can take a taxi/bus to the university. You can show the address to the taxi driver or you can call us, we can help you tell the driver. Generally a taxi is metered, or you had better not take it, because they may overcharge you. While sometimes, the university located in another city, in this way you may have to take a bus/train even another flight, in this way, you had better inform us and prepare everything before you come.
3. Get registered
Necessary documents for get registered the university are as below:
a. Admission notice
b. Passport
c. Education certificate
4. Get resident permit
You have to know that only the residence permit can let you stay longer inChina. You have to obtain the residence permit within 30days.
Documents needed for applying Chinese residence permit:
I. Valid passports and visa
II. JW202form (JW201form) and admission notice
III. Physical exam report
IV. Two recently taken, half-length bareheaded and full-faced photos of 2 inch size(either color or black-white).
5. Open China bank account
If you want to purchase anything online, like ticket, shopping online, transfer all need open a China bank account
There are four biggest banks inChina:
ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank ofChina)
ABC (Agricultural Bank ofChina)
CCB (China Construction Bank)
BOC (Bank ofChina)
For opening a bank account inChinayou just need to bring your passport and around 20rmb for deposit is ok; then you can ask a local friend or bank staff to help you complete the process.
