Can I study in China if I don't know Chinese language?
Yes, you can. We got many courses/programs taught in English. If students want to study the course in Chinese, they can study Chinese language first then take the HSK.

What documents are needed for studying in China?
Generally, for non-degree language study, students just need prepare the copy of passport and ecucation certificate is ok.
For bachelor degree:copy of passport, high school certificate and high school transcript.
For master degree:passport copy,Bachelor's degree, college transcript (notarized copy), two recommendation letters from 2 associate professors or professors
For PHD degree:Master degree, postgraduate school certificate, college transcript, two recommend letters from 2 associate professors or professors, study/research plan.

Can university help me change or extend visa if I am already in China and want to persue some major or degree?
Yes, if you are already studying in some university and want to transfer to another one, just ask the university you are in now to write a transfer letter or study certificate is ok then they will help you extend the visa; not all Chinese universities can help you change other types of visa to x visa because of some new visa policy, so you had better consult us first.

How is the application process goes? When should I start?

After get accepted by the university, how can I get a Chinese visa?
Basic documents for applying Chinese student visa
a. Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and with blank visa pages, a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
b. Original and a copy of JW202form
c. Original and a copy of Admission Notice from the university or Chinese school
d. One truly completed Application Form
e. One recent passport style color photo with full face, front view, no hat, and against a plain light background

What is ‘HSK” ? Everyone need take HSK for enter degree?
‘HSK’ is a test of Chinese language ability for foreigners. Foreign students need take HSK only when they want to study the course in Chinese medium. Nowadays, Chinese universities got many degree courses in English medium.

How long does it take for the whole admission process?
Generally, students will get the admission notice within one week and for visa documents (jw202form) will take around 2-3 weeks to be ready. So the whole admission process will be around 3-4weeks

Can I do part-time job while studying in China?
According to the Chinese government regulations, international students are not allowed to work during their studies, but part-time jobs or internships are sometimes allowed, Like teaching jobs.

Can I go back to my country during my study in China? Any vacations? When and how long?
Yes, Chinese student visa is multiple entry, so international students can enter China many times. There are two long vacations in China, summer and winter vacation. Summer vacation (two months duration) usually lasts from early July to End of Aug while winter vacation will begin in early Feb till End of Feb, around 1month. International students can go back home during these two vacations.

There are many types of Scholarships Chinese government offer to help international students study in china; moreover, you can even get scholarships from the universities.

Is there any insurance for my child during studying in China?
Yes, university will help them buy the insurance, around 600rmb/year.

How can my child access money while in China?
International students can use the visa card to get money but it will cause some bank charge when access money; however, students can open a china bank account, then they can access money with related bank with free charge.

If we want to visit my child, can university assist in the visa issue?
Some university can offer a invitation letter, then you can apply through the embassy.

How can I keep in touch with my child?
1.Internet, each dorm got internet access, you can use Skype, Email, and other social media
2.Call through China mobile phone

When does the tuition fee have to be paid?
Generally students pay tuition fee when register the university while some other university need pre-pay tuition fee after get accepted.

Can my child rent a room outside instead of living in the dorm?
Generally university allows students to live off campus. While some can only allow students live outside from the second year. Anyway, it is safer to live in the campus and can enjoy a better study atmosphere

Is it safe to sent my child to study in China?
Generally speaking, China is a safe country to travel around even live. Most Chinese people are friendly and willing to help. That’s why more and more foreigner come and live here.

What if my child become ill?
If not in an emergency, students can go to the school hospital directly. If it’s emergency, just dial 120. The service works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year around the world

Is there any kitchen in the university dorm?
Most universities provide kitchen for international students. Generally, university will offer Microwave, fridge, what a student just need to buy is a pot. Some students even cook in the room. Anyway, we suggest all students cook in the kitchen, it is safe and clean.
