Founded in 1949,Shenyang Medical College is a full-time ordinary higher education institution with multiple disciplines,levels,and forms of education,mainly focusing on medicine,which is approved by the Ministry of Education of the P.R.China.In 2024,it was approved as a doctoral degree awarding pilot construction unit.Currently,there are 3 directly affiliated hospitals,12 non-affiliated hospitals,155 teaching hospitals,internship hospitals,practical teaching bases etc.

1.Clinical Medicine

In 1987,the university launched undergraduate enrollment for its Clinical Medicine program.The program achieved medical education quality accreditation in 2013,obtained authorization for professional degree accreditation in 2014,and began admitting postgraduate students in 2015.In 2017,it was designated as a Demonstration Program for Application-Oriented Transformation in Liaoning Province,and in 2020,it was recognized as a Liaoning Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Education Demonstration Program.Over more than three decades of perseverance and meticulous development,the program has progressively emerged as a pioneering model for medical education reform.

2.Stomatology

The School of Stomatology was established in March 2012,with its predecessor being the Department of Stomatology.It began enrolling undergraduate students in 2005 and has since recruited 21 cohorts of students.In 2020,the Stomatology program was recognized as a first-class undergraduate education demonstration program in Liaoning Province.In 2024,the master's degree program in Stomatology received authorization from the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council,and Shenyang Stomatological Hospital became a

directly affiliated stomatological hospital of our school.The school comprises multiple departments,including six teaching and research offices and one oral clinical experimental center.

3.Nursing

The School of Nursing boasts a profound heritage.Over the past 77 years since its establishment in 1949,it has repeatedly garnered provincial and municipal honors,successfully passed the professional accreditation by the Ministry of Education,and been honored with the title of a first-class specialty in Liaoning Province.Students maintain high graduation and degree award rates,with the pass rate for the nursing license examination consistently rising.Moreover,it has nurtured outstanding alumni,including recipients of the International Florence Nightingale Medal,who have made remarkable contributions to the nursing profession.
